Jakartatalks.com – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) telah mengumumkan daftar film calon nominasi Oscar 2025 di Los Angeles pada Rabu (18/12/2024). Namun, sayangnya Women from Rote Island, film perwakilan Indonesia, tidak berhasil masuk dalam daftar pendek dari 10 kategori yang diumumkan untuk ajang bergengsi Piala Oscar ke-97 ini.
Menurut pengumuman resmi yang dikeluarkan oleh AMPAS, film Emilia Perez dan Wicked berhasil menarik perhatian dari Universal Pictures dan siap bersaing untuk meraih nominasi. Proses pemungutan suara untuk menentukan nominasi resmi akan dimulai pada 8 Januari dan berakhir pada 12 Januari 2025. Nominasinya sendiri akan diumumkan pada 17 Januari 2025.
